ASBESTOSIS: is a chronic inflammatory and fibrotic medical condition affecting the parenchymal tissue of the lungs caused by the inhalation and retention of asbestos fibers. It usually occurs after high intensity and/or long-term exposure to asbestos as in miners; causing severe dyspnea ,cough, easy fatigability and are at an increased risk for certain malignancies, including lung cancer and mesothelioma

Xray inv of upper lobes nd hilar lymph nodes

In asbestosis plaques inv lower lobes nd it frequently associatd with effusion

CWP- xray shud hv smal round opacities or a cavitary lesion

there is a suspicious round opaque shadow at the top of the right lung, may very well be TB.
According to the info, he most likely has mesothelioma.

Diagnosis can only be established after a proper work-up including a bronch with lavage, biopsy etc. Differential may include pneumoconiosis, atypical bacterial infectons, malignancy (i.e. bronchoalveolar carcinoma)

B/L UPPER AND MIDZONE FIBROSIS STRONGLY FAVOURING OLD HEALED PUL TB. UPPER LOBE FIBROSIS ALSO OCCURS IN SILICOSIS HOWEVER HILAR LYMPHADENOPATHY WTH EGGSHELL CALCIFICATION IS an IMPORTANT ACCOMPANIEMENT WHICH ISN'T FEATURE HERE.
