The patient is a 36-year old lady who notices painless swelling along the veins of her arms, especially when left in a dependent position.The swelling disappears when she elevates her arm

Deep hand and arm vein thrombosis or phlebitis of the superficial arm veins due to many reasons...There's NO varicouse vein disease in hand.

VARICOSE VEINS
The problem occurs when the arm is in a position ... that means that the venous valves do not function well ...

Possible venous obstruction.
.think of SVC obstruction also
